Abstract

|
Since the discovery of Helicobacter pylori, there have been many studies that demonstrate the role of H. pylori infection in extra-gastric disease. Several studies show that H. pylori infection seems to be associated with cardiovascular disease such as athero-sclerosis, ischemic heart disease and myocardial infarction. However, other studies show opposite results. Therefore more studies are needed to clarify the role of H. pylori infection in cardiovascular disease.
